My extra-curricular activities at OSC

Justice & Equality Service!

My service is Justice and equality, we are committed to raising awareness about critical issues such as consent and advocating for the rights of all individuals, regardless of their background or identity. By fostering a more inclusive and respectful environment, we aim to create a just and equal future for all. In the first few lessons, we talked about how we want to promote a culture of equality and inclusivity within our school community and beyond.
My job is to work on social media and start coming up with ideas on how to promote our goals. The main idea for our content is to do some posts with a few words and share the real meaning of them like feminism, body positivity, patriarchy, etc. (edits coming) and educate people with it.
We are constantly thinking of new ideas to improve and continue promoting our service and message. Recently, we have been working on designing and producing the T-shirts for our team. The main idea is to keep our logo in the front so that people can see it and have their own moment, while the creative part is designing the phrase “Women’s rights are human rights” to represent our service. To make our production unique, we want to create a rosy tie dye so that people who purchase our clothing can have their own identity in it. Not only are we considering T- shirts, but we also have other products in mind to raise money, like tote bags.
To continue sharing ideas on our Instagram, I’ve taken over the “Book of the Week” segment. The idea behind this segment is to continue sharing our message through more engaging and interactive posts, where I explain the purpose of the book, share the message the book wants to transmit and provide a quote that inspires you to read the book. Additionally, we are constantly exchanging publications containing crucial information about which everyone on the should be aware.

Our recent contribution to the school is a set of sanitary boxes for the bathrooms. Originally, we thought these were a good idea, but after observing the first few months, we realized that people weren’t taking proper care of them and that they were too big to fit in the spaces where we put them. Therefore, we recently decided to create wooden boxes with the same idea, which look much better and last a lot longer than the basic cardboard boxes that initially did their job.
