Victoria’s CAS Journey

My extra-curricular activities at OSC

Goals!

Service is a new thing for my knowledge so not having previous experience makes my goal a little wide but still important, I chose Justice & equality because I think is going to open my eyes to important problems that are happening all around the world like sexism, workplace violence, sexual harassment, gender stereotypes, discriminatory laws, practices, uses and customs against women, etc and my goals is to find new ways to also teach people about this problem and to improve my awareness.

Photography is an activity that I have wanted to learn for a long time, so I’m starting a few course lessons and my goals for that are to learn a new photography technique, take photos of a new destination ( if I can travel), learn how to use editing software to begin my journey and to create a portfolio.
The activity I chose is Surfing because it is a sport that I have practiced on and off and want to go back to and I have the advantage that my dad ( Sergio Martins) used to be a professional surfer and for the last 10 years has been working as a shaper, so for my goals, I want to start learning new tricks and keeping myself active throughout this year.
My goal for MUN program is to grow as a person in the sense of solving the issues of the world using such globally accepted proposals, to educate the people about the working process of the United Nations, and to develop skills in the Youth to solve issues and manage negotiations. And from this, I want to improve my social and debate skills.
