This was the DP1 trip in kithulgala. The blue indicates driving paths we took to reach a specific area, green is the jogging track we took when we warmed up for the day, red is the marvel canyon where we completed canyoning and the 10m jump and pink is the cave we visited on the last day. Site A is the camp where we stayed and the river right below site A is where we got to cool off during the days activities or in the morning to start it off.

The first night of our Borderlands trip to Kithulgala, we were asked to write a letter to someone that we knew about an activity that we did which changed the way we viewed it. I chose to write mine to my brother about the first time I experienced a lazy river during the adventure. I chose the lazy river that day because nothing felt more calming/peaceful, and for once, all my attention was on the present moment and made me focus on the world around me.
The scribed letter is below:
(Yo Bro,
Lazy rivers are a lot more fun than I thought it would be. The cold water that feels stupidly refreshing with people around you that can’t stand the temp[erature is hilarious. That top G mindset of mind over body, pushing away the idea of being cold felt different and unique. I liked it quite a bit, I felt a lot more control over my body than I have in a while. Its a lot better than regular classes like physics. Dr. Leigh and I also discussed physics a lot and made me appreciate the death of knowledge and curiosity of people. Sometimes you wish that you could stay in the Lazy river forever before the trip ends and the DP pounds down my skull. I will try to savor more of it before it ends.
Ciao!
