CAS goals

Starting off with my goals!

Shown below are each of the long-term goals I plan on following for CAS, and elaborative bullet points under them.

  • For my Creativity aspect, my long-term goal is to refine my personal art style and improve my skill in digital art and overall within the next 18 months.
    • I will do this by consistent exploration of various art elements and concepts, and measure my progress through comparison of my original art and latest art.
    • I also aim to learn how to utilize a lot more tools that are available in digital art software – such as Clipping or Alpha Lock.
    • Likely use art as a form of conveying certain messages (perhaps about global issues/ SDGs).
    • Learning objectives: strength and growth, challenge and skills
  • In Activity, I want to improve my agility and general fitness for the next 18 months through constant practice in sports such as badminton, boxing, and aerobic exercise.
    • Progression will be measured through the collation of personal statistics in fitness and sports performance.
    • With my agility, I want to improve my aim (when hitting the shuttlecock/ doing jabs).
    • I want to improve my stamina, I think this can be done naturally with consistent exercise.
    • I have joined the badminton ASA and with this I believe that I can refine my badminton skills and work toward this goal.
    • Learning objectives: initiative and planning, showing perseverance and commitment
  • For Service, I want to increase the number of hours that I dedicate community service/ charitable work to every week.
    • Increment in my participation in various service activities (such as Room To Read – which I am a part of) will allow me to measure how much time I have increased my service work.
    • I want to observe the impacts of my service work and how these may relate to SDGs.
    • As a service leader I will also be able to apply CAS learning objectives directly toward my service work.
    • If possible, given the COVID situation, I want to incorporate other people (friends/ family/ Room To Read service group) into service activities and potentially do something community-related.
    • Learning objectives: working collaboratively with others, global engagement

That’s all for now.
