Today we had our first Dungeons and Dragons club meeting and to me and the other students surprise it was up to me and the fellow students to actually organise ourselves and a game. So in order to not have the session dissolve into choas. Me and a friend named Zack got together to organise and come up with a general plan for the group, since we were some of the few in the group who had prior experience running D&D groups. To better prepare ourselves for an eventual campaign or game. We had the members begin work on a character sheet so they would know what they were playing and what me and my co DM (dungeon master) could prepare for.
we then spent the hour helping people who had never played before write a character sheet and began a plan as for what to run for the group. This club so far has helped to better improve my organisational skills, as well as to improve my collaborative skills and people skills given the intentional nature of me and Zack taking charge. Overall while we came out of the club somewhat surprised. I feel confident to be able to rise to the challenge of helping to lead and orgainse the club.
