The month of April was basically the time of holidays and what better way to spend it than go to two places which is Koslanda and dambulla. Dambulla was the second trip we went to and in short terms one of the best trips I have ever been on. It was not because I got to see the Sigiriya Rock for the first time, but hiking up pidurangala was a nice experience. The deal to climb pidurangala rock was you had to leave early to start the climb, so in order to do that, what my group had done was get up by around 5.30 in the morning and then reach there by around 6.30 to begin the climb. To climb Pidurangala Rock it took around 30 mins and for me and my friends it was not a big task as we got to the top in 20 mins. Then there was the safri ride for this, it was done mainly in the afternoon because you are just going in a jeep to the national park in Dambulla which was alright, its just the only thing I saw was a load of elephants which was nothing. Overall going to dambulla was an amazing experience and moment this lockdown was over I would go back.
