At the start of the year, our French B class was informed that we would be completing all 3 areas of CAS within our French class, and creating corresponding posts. As such, I previously completed a song in French for Christmas time with my sister as creativity, and now I underwent a service project. There is a french eldery home which I decided to write to, and therefore I created a letter to send to two ladies there. This would help spread psoitive messages and enagage with those in elderly homes. I enjoyed this project a lot because I was able to use my french language skills to communicate with native speakers whilst also promoting a positive message. I began the process by drafting a letter and referncing other similar letters for inspriation, and I tried to apply a vairety of tenses and grammatical structures from class. I then handwrote 2 versions of the letter. Since Ms Fert was travelling to France, I was able to drop my 2 hand written letters off at school so that they could be delivered. The letter I wrote was as follows :
Le 19 mai 2021, à Colombo, Sri lanka
Chere Madame,
Amites,
Sheruni
I hope to recieve a response and I am happy to have participuated in this project!
LO2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process- It was a challenge and a new area for me to write directly to someone whom I don’t know, so it was a challenge to make the letter accessible and effective, not to mention grammatically accurate!
