Our IB Orientation this year was in Kitulgala Borderlands, we were there for 3 nights and each day we did different activities. We canoyed for 2 days and white water rafted for one. My personal favorite was canyoning; it involved so many risks, and I displayed risk-taking constantly during the trip. On our last day of canyoning, our final challenge was to jump off a 10-meter cliff into a waterfall, this was my favorite moment of the whole trip because I was so scared and so excited at the same time. I am very proud not only of myself, but also of everyone in the class who all took the risk and jumped off the cliff. Socially, I think our class bonded really well because we were put in unusual groups and that helped us know different people and I am grateful to the teachers for that. It was also very helpful in getting to know the new students, and I have no doubt that they had fun on this trip. On the 23rd, it

was Yethmin’s birthday and the next day it was mine; we got 2 cakes and celebrated. However, something I did not enjoy was the morning yoga and activities which were held at 6:30, which were supposed to help you stretch even though I think we did enough stretching with the walks. Overall, DP Orientation was an amazing experience that helped us grow and improve our teamwork and collaboration skills, and also let us come closer as friends.
