Homerun

On April the 23rd Care for Paws and Housing and Habitat hosted a homerun. The two service groups collaborated together to organise this event.

This event was organised as a fundraiser, but also as an engaging activity for the OSC community (and their pets). The route was 5 kilometers, and everyone was invited to enjoy it in their own way. Some ran, some jogged, some walked and some even brought their dogs.

The run started at 8:00 in the morning, however we (members of the two services) had to be there around 6:30-7:00. We used this time to set up the stations and prepare for when the participants of the homerun arrive.

When we gathered at school, we split into groups and were taken by a van to our stations.

There were two different types of stations, one was the water stop and the other was the direction instructions.

After everyone was finished, the van came back to collect us from our stations and bring us back to school.

This event ended up being very successful, we raised enough money and people seemed to have enjoyed it, even the dogs.
