Volleyball game

After learning and practicing various volleyball skills for a couple of sessions, we were finally given a chance to demonstrate what we’ve learned by playing a real game.

On the 7th of March there was a volleyball game where we played against another school. This took place after school, around 16:00. We played 3 sets, each up to 25 points. The game ended at 17:30

At the beginning we needed to adjust to the fact that this was a real game, there was a referee, the rules were far more strict than when we normally play during practice, and we had to think more strategically. However, we quickly got the hang of it.

At first it was difficult to determine what level the other team was, since we never played with them before. However, after playing a little, it became easier as we got an idea of their strategies.

Even though we did not win, it was a very fun experience and good practice for us. It was our first game and now we have a sense of what we can do and how we can use this experience as a guide for improvement. It also taught us the importance of communication and playing collaboratively as a team.

I found it fun as I didn’t stress about winning or loosing. That was also because I didn’t know what to expect. However, it turned out to be very enjoyable.
