I’m Not Crying, You Are

CAS is done. The bittersweet feeling of graduating is here, being in OSC for 6 years and spending my teenage years with most of my class, the fact everything is going to change overtime hurts a lot. Even though I haven’t posted many CAS blogs this school year (sorry Mr Lockwood …), I still have learnt so much and will use these skills in the future.

Creativity

As you can already tell, creativity was most done criteria out of the 3, but it was my favorite one to do for sure (nothing changes from last year). This was an obvious fact due to circulating my CAS project, the short film called “We Were Girls Together”, around creativity and how creativity lead me to my biggest passion for film asking, especially when creating vlogs for my very own YouTube channel.

Activity

Activity was something I struggled with the most, as shown in my blogs. However, I do make effort to get myself to be active, from going on walks to working out in the gym, I sure have done my part. I know I do need to improve on activity if I were to time travel to myself during CAS days and in my future after high school life.

Service

After many service changes in my OSC life, I finally found my love for Hope of Kids, whether it’s the events we’ve created, our message, or the group of people who I have bonded with. Service was a big of my DP 2 journey because I had to be in this service for the whole year, unlike MYP kids. I am so grateful to join such a great service like Hope of Kids.

What Does The Future Hold For Me ?

When it comes to predicting the future, I know I will use all the creativity I’ve learnt to study film in Royal Holloway University and improve my film making skills as time goes on. I also hope to improve my activity by working out in the future and try to do whatever I can to continue my love for Hope of Kids as a service, even if I’m not in the service group anymore.

  1. Dear Shinara,
Well done on completing the requirements for OSC’s Creativity Activity & Service (CAS) program. You’ve done an impressive job keeping this reflective space up to date with colorful posts. You’ve grown and come a long way in the last 18 months. I want to wish you all the best in your further educational and life adventures. I trust that you will continue to share your life reflections as you move forward.

    Sincerely

    Ian Lockwood
