Workout Whenever #2: Tread the Mill

Now that school was out during the break, I can finally have the time and energy to continue working out. So, to try something new, I decided to use my home’s treadmill.

As I was searching for different workouts to use, I found a workout I found interesting: the 12-3-30 method by Lauren Giraldo. This workout is done by putting the incline at 12 and a speed of 3 m/h, as well as done for 30 minutes (LO3). Since I haven’t tried the treadmill in a while, I decided to use this exercise since it had great reviews and will help me find the treadmill my number one source of working out when I don’t have the time at home (self awareness).

Power Walk

After turning on the machine and putting in the right settings, it was starting and I was walking (this is more of a walking exercise, which is good because I love walking a lot compared to jogging or running).

Once the 30 minutes was up, the treadmill went to cool down. This was a weird experience because both the incline and speed slowly decrease, which makes a big difference and low key made me feel like I was going to fall (I didn’t !!!).

It was honestly not as bad or challenging as I thought. Even though the change of incline scared me in the beginning and during the cool down stage, I got used to it, pushed through, and actually found it fun (LO2) I decided I will use this workout 2-3x a week and use this as my main treadmill workout until I choose to take it to the next step.
