I decided to expand my interests yet again and join the Senior Vocal Ensemble as one of the key moments in this activity is the Spring Gala (collaboration). Spring Gala is a performance that happens every April to showcase the musical talent in OSC. This year’s theme is movies, so our group spent months practicing our 2 songs “Stand Up” and “Seasons of Love” every week during lunch.

The Day

This is the day that the hard work will pay off, it all matters to everyone to perform their best and make this gala an amazing night. We had a full dress rehearsal the day before, so I managed to see everyone’s performances, which made me automatically know that we would be successful.

When I was about to perform, I remember being really nervous, but calm because everyone else will be singing along with me. However, both songs ended up being a big success as it felt brilliant and honorable to close the night.

End of the Ensemble (For Now)

It was truly a fun experience as I learnt a lot and enjoyed every second of it. I’ll be sure to continue with Senior Vocal Ensemble and the galas with many more performances (featuring a potential solo {maybe ..?})
