During the middle of the year, in 2021, I made it a point to get back into Tennis. However, I wasn’t really able to get back into it properly since the pandemic in Sri Lanka gradually turned worse and the government decided to impose island-wide lockdowns, every 2 weeks or so. However, in December 2021 I started going for practice and I’ve being trying to consistently continue this as much as possible.

As soon as I started playing I realized how much I missed this sport. It’s a great way to start the day and it’s a great form of exercise. I usually play at Queens Club or SSC with a coach or my brother and I book a court and go play whenever possible. I mostly enjoy playing tennis in the evening at about 5.30pm but I go for practice in the morning whenever I can too.

This sport has challenge myself both physically and mentally (L2). It’s a great way to increase your agility, strength and reaction time. There is room for improvement and I’m hoping to develop my strength in this sport as I go along (L1) and eventually get better at it during the course of the year.
