COMUN Faculty Advisory

Within COMUN there is processes that we have to hold before carrying out the actual conference.  The first of these is the faculty advisory,  The faculty advisory allows for us to run the conference details by the other schools and get verification to go through with the conference.

 

As a member of the tech team I had to help with the presentation aspect. The faculty advisory was created as a hybrid model, meaning that the EXCO were in person with 3 teachers but other teachers were mostly online to follow with COVID Regulations.

 

 

 

 

 

 

For the tech team there was 3 main aspects of this Faculty Advisory, the presentation, the zoom and the mic so that each committee could speak to those on the zoom.  For the presentation this was made by Vinuda who is the head of media. The presentation consisted of  an explanation of each committee and a summary of the conference.  The zoom was handled by Johail and Lithira. They had to set up the zoom and face the camera towards the people who  were presenting. My job was to set up the mic using my phone and teach each person in the committees how to use when they came up-to stage as it was a live performance and needed to run smoothly.

 

In the end there were barely any mistakes and the Faculty Advisory went very smoothly, if I was to improve upon this in the future I would just want to charge my phone for longer so that in case we went over time it would have a lot of battery to run off of.
