5km run – Home Run

On Saturday March 11th, Housing & Habitat and Care for Paws hosted a 5 kilometre run for charity. It was fun overall but after a bit I didn’t run that much because the soles of my feet hurt a lot. Although I found it fun in the end I didn’t actually want to go and I only went because the boys football group was told to go by our coach to see our cardio and how we would fare for going that long. This year’s Home Run, there was an extra little bit around a big pond which made it a bit longer than 5 kilometres.

I got to try out a camel pack for the first time because my Dad had bought one for a trip he is going to go on eventually but he wanted me to try it first for him. It was quite useful in the Home Run as I didn’t need to stop for water since I could just get it while moving.

I think the run was fun even though I was dying at the end of it and I think I definitely learnt my limits.
