Wow, what a year it has been and all I can say that it was eventful. I first started my CAS blog 9 months ago and everything that is represented on the blog has changed my life forever and has helped me enjoy this extremely stressful year.

CREATIVITY

This year for creativity was a breakout year for me. I had embarked on activities that I would never have thought I would ever take part in. The first major Experience I had taken part in was the Senior production ” A Midsummer Nights Dream.” Wow, this play was amazing, I had to work with so many other people who were as passionate about theater as I was,  I played the role of Nick Bottom and all I can say is that I made an Ass of myself. This experience how to work Collabortvliey with others. I also took part In the ISTA TaPS theater workshops in Hong Kong, which taught my theater in more In-depth look and taught me New Skills. In addition to all my theatrical exploration, i also decided to sing this year with the Boys Voice group and I have performed in two Galas over the year and I really have learned how to Collabortvliey work with others and Develop New skills. In the same branch of creativity, I also did a skit with the Recycling and Sustainability service group about pollution and the miss use of plastics which has a very big Global Significance.

Activity

My main form of activity this semester was my involvement in sports. This year I took part in all three SAISA seasons. I played volleyball, football, and basketball. Due to me taking part in previous SAISA season these sports were not new to me, but the experiences I had with the teams were completely new to me. This year I played a more significant role in SAISA, I got play more minutes in each sport, which allowed me to Develop new skills and Work together with my teammates. Because of this my time on these SAISA trips were well loved and I could not have asked for anything better. The time spent with teammates or i would say my family will never be forgotten and will always be treasured.

Service

Service this year was an adventure as I mentioned. This year I embarked on a new journey this service as a leader in my service. I have never in my life taken upon such position which required me to take on a lot of responsibility this helped me Commitment and perseverance towards my service group. So with my excitement, I was also nervous as myself and my three other leaders Emily and Liana had to look after and help grow this service group. Before the school year began Emily, Liana and I had to set goals for the service group this year. We decided to continue our project named project uplift which had been our primary focus for our group for the past year. This project involved building chairs and tables out of wood and giving them to local primary schools. This project as mentioned our primary goal for this year, we also hosted the home run which our primary fundraiser together with stalls we ran at the Food and Fun Fair. We are going to continue our project uplift, and create future goals to help our Sri Lankan community. We hope that through our service group that we help people who are in need spread awareness to our school in hopes to help the community of Sri Lanka
