This post is extremely late as I completely forgot to do it before the April break.

This is my 2nd gala this year and boy was this one more difficult than the last. unlike the winter gala where i had to only beatbox for the Boys voice group, this year i was asked to sing alongside everyone. Wow what endeavor for me, because i have never sung on stage for anyone before. This was definitely nerve-racking and to this day i am still surprised that i actually did it. Anyways, before the Gala even began the Boys Voice group had to practice the songs we had to perform. The songs we had to sing were “It Must Be Love- Madness”  and “I Saw Her Standing There- The Beatles” and they were extremely fun. However, the practices were tough, we had harmonize and created different melodies for each song which were difficult for me. Even with this the Boys Voice group fought through the difficulties and continued to practice for the Gala.

 

The 4th of April rolled around and we ready to perform a spectacle for everyone. we performed last and the wait was nerve-racking, but we then went on stage and performed we put on a show and in my opinion, was the best performance. We really light up the crowd with our fun songs and are “funny dance moves”. Overall this was a great opportunity for me to grow as an artist and a student. I want to give thanks to all my group mates and Mrs. Lorreta Duncan for making this Gala so much fun.
