OSC Volleyball Game

Volleyball game vs Local Club 21/03/22

Last week we played a local club volleyball team. This was a very fresh experience for me, as I had not played in an official volleyball game before.

We started by warming up as a team, first in spike lines and then moving to the other-side of the court for receiving practice. Kind of felt like every ball received or ball spiked needed to be perfect here and definitely felt the jitters here. The first game went in our favor with a bit of an upset where we won 28-26 in a highly competitive game.

The next game was my first set and started a group of somewhat inexperienced players so this was quite nerving however after a few miscommunications we got in somewhat a flow however a little to late to comeback with the set ending 16-25.

The next few sets as a result of a somewhat nerving first set for me, went a lot easier and felt quite comfortable on the court. This also enabled me to learn a few more tactics during the game and learn where to be in-order to cover.
This experience really helped me feel a lot more confident in volleyball which I can see is reflected on what I do on the court. I also learned a lot from my seniors who were vocal on the court and pushed me to be as well. This showed the importance of communication and made me feel a lot more confident for future games.
