FINAL REFLECTION :)

Activity:

My main activity in DP was Track and field which I participated in DP1. It was the first international sports competition I had participated and I believe that the experience helped me grow both as a person and in skill. Taking the risk in a sport completely new to me was scary at first, but it enabled me to find talents I never knew I had and also allowed me to work collaboratively with many others from my community. However, it also developed my personal growth through pushing myself and showing perseverance even in times when I wanted to quit in training sessions.

Service

Looking back at my engagement in service ‘Care for Paws’ i cherish the importance of our acts, and the impact we made on our community of stray animals. We raised a total of 500,000Rs over the two years, and as a co-service leader with both Lara and Mali, I learned what it takes to engage with the community through bake sales, home run events, and sterilization camps, while also learning what it takes to lead a movement of positive change which I deem extremely important for my future.

Creativity

Creativity has been very important for me during DP as both as a singer. I have participated in many singing performances as well as continued singing at home. Engaging in music every day has helped me with stress and also allowed me to collaborate with other talented musicians in school, and engage with our school community by providing entertainment.

CAS has been a great part of my DP journey, by shaping that balance between the tough work the Ib entails with more life lessons, and social skills that I will carry into this new chapter of my life.
