Final CAS Reflection

CAS has been such a major factor in my DP career so far. Combining all these aspects of my life in terms of creativity activity and service has been truly an amazing experience. Over these past few years, although I have been involved in mainly activity, I has also had some major creativity and service-based experiences.

Activity:

My main activity has been SAISA sports, and during DP 1 and 2 I did volleyball and track and field, and captained the track team both years. SAISA has been such a key event in my life as I have been doing it since grade 5 and its been very important to me. Other than that, I have also done some individual acvtivity over these 2 years, including going to the gym, running, horse riding, and so forth. Overall, I think I have stayed quite active over these 2 years and its been very fun through the process.

Service:

The next component I would like to talk about is sevice, During my DP years, I became co-service leader with Mali (DP1) and Maya (DP2), for the care for paws group, which helps improve the lives of street animals in Colombo. We have done many things including sterilisation camps, and fundraising events, through which we have raised over 500,000 rupees in these past two years, a very significant amount in aiding the street animals.

Creativity:

Perhaps the part of CAS that has been lacking the most for me is creativity. My main parts have been around arts and crafts, and also doing a lot of baking and cooking at home (although it has mostly gone undocumented). Overall, I find my self drifting in and out of creativity waves, but I do really enjoy it, and try to participate in it whenever I can.

In conclusion, although it does cop a lot of slack, CAS is not only super important, but also super fun, and I will miss making these posts once I leave high school. The creative, active and service-based aspects of my life have been equally important and I hope to contribute them onwards into the future.
