Not Being A Couch Potato During Quarantine

There are many set backs when you’re locked up in your house for weeks, sometimes even months at a time. One thing that proved most challenging to me was being on my feet. Not necessarily being active and working out, but more so just moving around and not sitting in one place for extended periods of time. One thing that I did not want to repeat during this second lockdown was be a couch potato like I was during the previous lockdown from March 14th to May 26th 2o20. So to minimize the chances of this happening, I try to get up and walk around and find every excuse I can to not be stuck on the couch doing nothing. So the day before lockdown I bought a new set of Drum Sticks as my current pair is on its last legs. Drumming has been my primary source of moving around during lockdown as it requires all 4 of my limbs to be doing 4 different things at the same time and exercises my mind. I also do other miscellaneous tasks like cleaning my room, washing my dad’s car (Judge me, i’m a car nut), to the odd push ups challenge with my dad from time to time. And finally, I’ve set a goal to walk a minimum of  6,000 steps per day and I will be keeping track of this figure with my phone and watch. Once lockdown is lifted, hope to set that minimum number even higher than 6,000.
