Louis' CAS Journey

The mystery of human existance lies not in staying alive, but in finding something to live for – Fyodor Dostoevsky

DP2 Goals

This year, given the current circumstances, my CAS goals are of a somewhat different nature to DP1. However, I have attempted to form them to the same standards as last year.

Creativity

I intend to satisfy my creative aspirations through art this semester, which I will do from home. As we have accumulated a great amount of paint and paintbrushes over the years, my family’s art supplies will satisfy my creative needs and I intend to challenge my assumptions of conventional art through abstract and unconventional art-pieces.

Activity

I aim to maintain constant fitness through rigorous exercise. Despite the changes in the past few months, my gym remains open, and if for some reason it were to close I have sufficient exercise equipment at home to maintain fitness. I am to work on upper body strength, as I have previously lacked in this area and given the removal of SAISA I now have time to work it into my routine.

Service

Unfortunately, due to school restrictions, the children from RCCI are unable to visit OSC and us their school. However, I aim to assist them in other ways this year. The largest goal which I will bring up at the next RCCI meeting, is to raise public awareness for the school and perhaps engage in fundraising for new facilities and new staff. This I aim to do through social media, although I will ask my peers opinions before deciding on a plan.
