Donating old football boots

Every Tuesdays and Thursdays, I and a couple of OSC classmates go to Moragasmulla ground to play football with other kids our age from other schools. We play for a club called TAFA which is a football club that provides training and game opportunities for us as a team. These training sessions happen after school from 4:30 to 6 pm. As a team we work on many football skills such as passing, shooting, and movement. Our main goal is to become better individually, and as well as a team. However, because of COVID, there have been multiple occasions when we had to stop training and games for a certain period of time. Unfortunately, it has been very on and off due to the uncertainties. Thankfully, we are holding a steady path for ourselves to start building a team to play against others.

Last Thursday, January 13, our coach gave us the opportunity to give away some old boots. Our coach was going to go to Kandy to a local school to give away use football boots to the kids so that they would have the opportunity to play. Fortunately, I had a 3-year-old pair of football boots that were just sitting in my wardrobe. Therefore, I gave my boots so that less fortunate kids would be able to be active and play football.
