My CAS Goals !

Active

I want to strive to be the best version of myself physically, this means regularly working out, and trying out for all 3 seasons of SAISA. Working out is something that I want to become consistent in my life, so creating the habit of going to the gym 2-3 times per week is something I am striving for. In the gym, I am working on proper powerlifting technique, on top of that a 100kg bench press, 150kg deadlift, and a 70kg squat. These are goals I want to accomplish in the future.

My SAISA goals consist of making the team for all 3 seasons, working on my leadership skills to become at least one team captain, and striving for personal excellence to become MVP for at least one sport this season too.

Creativity

The creativity goal which I am striving for this year is to learn how to play the piano. During my life, I always wanted to learn an instrument, and both of my siblings played an instrument growing up, so I thought it would be a good goal to take up piano lessons. I really enjoy music, but I have never been good at it, so improving my creativity through music is something I am looking forward to doing. Research has also shown that playing music and learning how to play instruments improves perseverance and concentration, which are things that I struggle with and I think are highly beneficial to improve throughout my life.

Service

As for my service learning goal, I really want to work on my leadership skills within my service, as I am now the leader of my service Gecko Inc. As a leader in service, you need to be able to lead, be open-minded, be confident, and take control when events are being planned and assist my other service members. This year, Gecko Inc has finally had enough members to become a thriving service again, thus, we will need to carry out a couple of tasks this year in order to create a base for the service. We will create a fundraiser (a Swim-A-Thon) and all of the proceeds will be for the children which we teach to swim. The purpose of this is we can gift the children with goggles, swimsuits, and swim hats because they do not have access to swimming necessities.
