30 Day Splits

As part of my ‘Getting Fit’ goal I am going to aim for every 7 year olds party trick: the splits. It sounds like an ambitious challenge to perform the splits within 30 days but that’s what the app claims it can do. Even though I am very flexible, I still put myself as a beginner since I do feel a strain when performing the stretches. My goal with this is to become more flexible and to incorporate a routine for exercise since I don’t often have the push to go to the gym. So I’m adding this component.

I have been doing this for a couple days now in the evenings before my night time routine. This is the perfect placement for it in my opinion because the stretches get me ready for bed and after washing myself I feel tired enough to be able to fall asleep immediately. Since this is something I can do from home its perfect to have as a late night workout. I am also able to wear whatever I want doing this at home which is great since I don’t always feel comfortable in gym clothes so this lets me feel comfortable on multiple levels.

There are some things I must take into consideration since I don’t want to hurt myself. It takes a lot of self-awareness to feel every muscle in my body and whether it can take on more or not. I am so far really enjoying the challenge as it pushes my skills and develops them. Being able to do the splits is something I’ve always want to be able to do as a child so as I grow into adulthood I want to accomplish that for my younger self.

I have used an app for my legs before that is from the same company who made this one and I got great results so I am confident this app will help me achieve my goal (even if it’s not in 30 days).
