DP1 Semester 1 CAS Goals

October 2020 – The Year of COVID-19

Creativity

Plan A (If School Continues, and All Main Events occur)

Goal #1: My Goal is to participate in the Secondary School Production, attend all of the rehearsals, and to develop stage confidence.

Secondary Production 2019 – Ritisha

Goal #2: My Goal is to participate in Senior Voice, attend all of the rehearsals, and to work on singing in tune, and staying in my part.

Plan B (If COVID-19 causes a lockdown or closure of events)

Goal #1: My goal is to take a piano lesson 1 time per week, every week. I will practice for 1 hour at home every week, and I will learn to play a total of 5 songs (with 2 hands), and with no mistakes successfully at the end of DP1.

Goal #2: My other goal is to develop my photography and painting skills at home when I have free time, to work on my artistic skills. I will either do one photography session or one painting for leisure every 2 weeks, so that practice developing my skills.

Plan A  (If School Continues, and Main Events occur)

Goal #1: My Goal is to play soccer (football) at least 3 times for 1 hour every week. I will attend at least 2 TAFA football practices every week. (TAFA is a football club outside of school, that I attend to train and practice 3 times a week). I will also play football after school on Thursdays with a student-initiated match against other girls and boys, as much as possible.

Goal #2: My goal is to make and attend all 3 sports SAISAs this year (Volleyball, Football, and Basketball). I will attend every practice and training session, and I will valuably contribute to my teams through my skills, and through positive encouragement during games.

Plan B (If COVID-19 causes a lockdown or closure of events)

Goal #1: If I cannot continue sports at school, my goal is to work out at home, at least 3 times per week every week. I will do a mixture of HIIT, Cardio, Strength and other types of exercise.

Goal #2: My goal is to practice either volleyball, basketball, or football every day after school (at home), at least 5 times per week. I will focus on improving my skills, and technique at each sport. I will make sure to practice with good form and technique.

Specific Goals:

Basketball: Improve my shooting accuracy and percentage (8/10 free throws, consistent outer range shooting by the end of the first semester)

Volleyball: Consistent Passing, and Setting (Passing needs to be high enough to set, and sets needs to be high enough to hit. They both need to be accurately placed). Hitting and Serving need to be consistent over the net, and inside the court area.

Football: Conistamt passing to my target with both left and right feet. I also will improve my aim when shooting at a goal or net.

 

Service

Goal #1: I would like to become a successful service leader for my service Care for Paws, developing my leadership skills and successfully helping my community. Below are the main events listed that I would like my service group to accomplish over the course of the next year.

  • PreOrder Christmas Bake Sale
  • Anti-animal tourism pledge
  • Homerun
  • Sterilization and Vaccination Camp
  • Sell TieDye T-Shirts to raise money
  • Second Vaccination Camp?

Plan B (If COVID-19 causes a lockdown or closure of events)

Goal #1: I would like to create, maintain and consistently update (With at least 1 post per week) a social media account for Care For Paws (Such as an Instagram account), to raise awareness about aminal cruelty, and how to help animals.

Goal #2: To help my family around the house, my goal is to take my dog, Sammy, on a walk for at least 10 minutes every day per week.
