Maintaining Personal Fitness During a Curfew is something that has proven very difficult. Luckily, I have a multitude of different ways of staying active, despite having to stay at home. While they may not have the same affect as SAISA trainings, they keep me at a reasonable level of fitness.
Running: A few months before the March Imposed Curfew, a running track just outside my house was built. Despite the stay at home order, you are allowed on the track for exercise, as long as you do not go onto the main road. Since March I have been running every other morning. I try to get up and beat the heat, so at around 5:30. I run a distance which is approximately 7 kilometers, and it usually takes me around 30 minutes to do. Doing Cardio is extremely important, because it is making up for all of the team sport training sessions that we are missing in the current climate. Training for SAISA is 3 times a week, not including the one or two morning sessions. So running every other day is a good replacement for it. In the near future, instead of increasing the pace I want to keep it the same, but run 10 km instead of 7. This should be a greater challenge.

Basketball: I have also been passing a lot of time by playing basketball during the day and in the evenings. With us sitting down a lot for DLP, it is great to go outside and get a few shots up in between lessons. I play for a longer duration of time in the evenings, usually right before dinner. It is always enjoyable just to practice shooting, but lately I have been trying things such as more complex dribble moves. I have also given myself the challenge of completely altering my shooting motion over the next few weeks. My current one is far too slow, and very unorthodox. It will take a bit of repetition in the coming weeks to change it fully.
I also got the opportunity right before our second curfew to get a training session with Coach Praneeth. He was able to come to my house and do a comprehensive skills session with Oliver and myself. This was a good chance to practice more specific and in depth skills rather than just general fitness. This is something that we have not done since before SAISA in February, and it was also great because there was just two of us. We got more opportunity to improve and refine various skills, such as floaters, crossovers, and pull up jump shots.

Gym:
My final way of keeping fit at home is with the weights and other equipment I have in my mini – gym. I tend to use this less with school on, but now it is very useful. The two machines allow me to do a variety of different exercises, so I do not have to be repetitive at all. However, after a certain amount of time it does get quite boring, and the space confines me quite heavily. I am finding it the most effective to completely switch my routine and types of exercises every week or so, in order to switch up the parts of my body which are being worked. This also makes the experience more manageable and enjoyable, as keeping it repetitive makes it more boring and dull. I want to prioritize upper body slightly more, as I am quite content with my athleticism and explosivity, but not so much with my upper body strength.

This sounds like a great plan to keep fit, Ben, you are definitely fulfilling the Action part of CAS! Try to get your photos round the right way, though, as they are all sideways!
