Taking part in SAISA Volleyball this year will be a highlight and something to remember and always think back on. Having hosted the tournament the crowd was full and the pressure was always on consistently in every game we played. Over the course of the 3 days from November 2nd to 4th we played a total of 7 games, 2 games each on the first 2 days and 3 games on the final day. For the first 2 days we competed in group stage games playing against 4 other teams in our bracket with another 5 teams in the other. Each one of the SAISA teams was here in Sri Lanka competing for a chance at podium or championship following our own OSC SAISA volleyball win from last year that I also took part in. Over the course of this SAISA season I have been able to improve my volleyball skills overall and focus on how to play a certain position. For this SAISA season I was an outside spiker so training 3 times a week I was able to improve the skills necessary to be a hitter. This includes jumping, timing, hand eye coordination, positioning, faking, blocking, rotation and the different methods of how to hit the ball and where you aim for on the opposing side.
