Throughout my teenage years, I have had brief periods of time where I was motivated to go the gym and workout but with all my extra-curricular activities and school, I have never really been able to stick to it consistently for more than a month at a time.
In 2023, I have really pushed myself to try to the gym at least three times a week if I can and to also improve my level of protein intake and I am glad to say that I’m already seeing progress. Ever since getting more consistent with my training, I’ve noticed that my muscle hypertrophy rates (growth) have really picked up and I feel stronger overall. Much like in the past, it still has been quite challenging to balance my workouts in the gym with other activities/sports I take partake in such as Swimming and Track, but I push myself to work around these obstacles and manage my time better to make it there at least 3 times a week.
I have also been tracking my progress by taking measurements of my body part (quads, arms, etc) and weighing myself and it’s been motivating to see the improvements I’ve made. My muscles are starting to feel more filled and defined, and I can now lift heavier weights than I could when I first started. I hope to continue this process for the foreseeable future.
