On the 8th of December, students from the DP French classes at OSC performed a song named “Le Restos du Coeur” at the spring gala.
“Le Restos du Coeur“ is a French charity song released in 1985 by the French singer–songwriter, singer and actor, Coluche. The song is about giving food to the needy and is the official anthem of the Restos du Coeur charity organization. The title translates literally as “the restaurants of the heart“ and the song has become an iconic symbol of solidarity and compassion in France.
Considering we had only been given a couple of weeks warning and practiced only a handful of times, I think our performance overall was quite successful. For the performance, we broke off into groups to sing the different verses in the song and my group was with Lucca, Diyath, Sam, and Ethan. Since we were all great friends to begin with, working together on this project was a fun entertaining experience, even though it was a situation that placed us quite far out of our comfort zones.
