During lockdown me and two of my friends decided to meet up at school and do a cycling circuit in that vicinity. The ride was pretty decent where I ended up doing 27km in just under two hours. The terrain throughout the circuit was mainly flat ground however we did end up going through some elevation parts. Me living the furthest from school had to cycle the most distance as it took me 30 mins just to get there. Some places which I feel I could have improved on was speed, as I was only averaging 16 km/hour, which is something that I can confidently increase next time. The overall cycling ride was pretty nice, however next time I really want to cycle to Galle Face which is around a 40 – 50km circuit from my house. As part of my CAS activity goal, me and my friends aim to continue doing physical-related activities such as this at least once a week if not even more. Through this cycle ride it allowed me to “identify my own strengths and develop area for growth” as part of my CAS learning outcome.
