11th October – Horton Plains Photography

During my October break, my family and I went to Nuwara Eliya for 4 days. On the 3rd day we decided to go on a hike in a nature reserve called Horton plains. The reserve spans kilometres and is home to a lot of wildlife and natural beauty. The area has many walking areas and the one we decided to do was to a waterfall called bakers falls. Along the way there are two ledges called ‘worlds end’ and ‘mini worlds end’ which have breathtaking views.

The image above demonstrates the plains right as you enter the park. Luckily it was a clear day, so the mountain ranges in the background were clearly visible.

This image was taken from mini worlds end, where one of the peaks from another mountain is clearly visible.

This image was taken from worlds end, where it slowly started to get more cloudy, however the slight through the clouds presented us with a unique view.

This final image was taken when we got back to the entrance to the trail. The weather just began to change as we finished, allowing for this unique photo.
