Final Cas Blog

Creativity:

To start this last post I wanted to talk about creativity. Throughout my two years of doing my CAS blog I haven’t had a lot of opportunities about creativity but in my service I have contributed to create garden beds which are made to plant vegetables so the primary school teacher can teach their classes about growing their own garden. Secondly,  I also needed creativity in my CAS project as I had to take photos and edit them. In conclusion, I could have done more creative posts but I did a lot of activity posts as it is the thing that I’m more interested in.

Activity:

I’ve had a lot of activities post as sports are my main activity outside of school. The first I wrote about was SAISA basketball in 2023 where we finished 3, the second one was SAISA football in the same year but the result doesn’t matter… This year I posted about our SAISA Volleyball win, I’ve also posted about SAISA basketball that occurs in Jordan where I had great experiences in game learning more in detail about the sport that I love. But also off game where I meant people and strengthened my links with the rest of my team. In conclusion, this two years I have been part of a lot of different activities allowed me to make more friends, discover new friends and develop my knowledge new sports.

Service:

Throughout my two years of writing this blog I’ve written multiple times about my service experiences. The first one was when I talked about the bake sale that we did at school with my service called Housing and Habitat. Our goal was to collect money so that we could buy stuff to build school materials for a local school. The second time I wrote about service I talked about the projects we had in the same service. We were planning on doing the Home Run, it is a run where people can register by paying 1500 rupees. The money was meant again to buy materials to build stuff for the same school. Finally, my cas project was also based on service as I was aiming at promoting our country Sri Lanka to the outside communities through an instagram account.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, making the CAS blog wasn’t my favorite hobby, however I think it is a good way to talk about our experiences in OSC and in our life. It is important to show that in our school we are free to develop the projects that we want, that we are being supported by a lot of staff and that our life on campus is really good. It is also really good for students who write it because it reminds them in what field they can improve, what skills they can develop and get interested in what other people in the class are doing. I’m now heading to a young adult life. High School was fun, I will miss it, Bye.
