Helloo everyone,
I’m part of the activity Football which is happening after school every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday morning. This year I have been selected to be part of the SAISA team that is going to travel to Bangladesh. We are 14 selected, selection happened 1 month ago. This year as the teams in other schools are pretty small and because of different reasons we will play 7vs7 on a smaller field.It makes the game more physical but a bit less tiring. For my jersey I chose to be number 6 as in basketball, it’s my favorite number.
Today, Friday 21/04/2023, we are having our last game before we fly for the competition, against the Teacher/Parents of school. WE already played 2 games against them but we never won, we lost the first one 2-1 and the second one we did 2-2 and then we lost after penalties because of a mister Mac incredible as a goalie.
The 26th of April we traveled me and the football SAISA team to Bangladesh, To start the football tornament. The first day we arrived we went straight to the hotel to rest before the competition.
The second day we went to school for the opening ceremony. Later in the day we played our first game against ASB that we lost 4-2, the same day we played another game against ACS that we lost 3-2.
The second day we played against Taism early in the morning we lost again, 4-2. The last game of the secon day we played against Dhaka a game that we lost again and again 4-2.
The last day we played first game in the morning against Lincoln, the only game we won in this competition 3-1. The last game of the competition, we were fighting for the 5th place againt Chenai, and sadly but unexpected we lost 2-1.
After our last game we waited for the final between TAISM and Dhaka to be played, it got reported because of a storm that went over the school during 2 hours, but at 19h30 they played the final. TAISM finally won against Dhaka the host team 4-2.
We then travel back to Sri Lanka to celebrate our 5th place…
