To earn money my service and I are making events to earn money to then buy some materials to build stuff for school.
Last week, we had a bake sale at school. We made cookies, popcorn and chocolate cakes to sell to students at school. It worked pretty well because we made over 62,000 ropees which is around 140 dollars.
For my service Housing and Habitat, we are preparing this weekend (saturday 11) a race that’s called Homerun. Home Run is a race that is 5 kilometers long, we are in partnership with Care for Paws for the organization of the race. For us it will be an opportunity to make money to buy some materials to start building stuff for the school
During the 5k run (Home run), some of the service group were sitting at stops to show the direction to the person running (red point on the map) and others were waiting with water for the runners (yellow point). Personally I was biking up and down through the race to make sure no one got lost and the runners followed the right path.
