Anna’s CAS Goals
This is my first post for my CAS journey, its going to be my CAS goals. My first goal is going to be for Creativity, I will practice drawing once every one to two weeks, and produce a new piece of artwork every month for the rest of the school year. This will help me develop my art skills witch will help my for DP1 visual arts class. This demonstrates that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process.
My second goal will be for activity, If Covid-19 stops Saisa sports I will go for a run 1-2 times a week to build up my endurance and stay fit. I will measure this by being able to run 5km by the end of DP2. If Saisa sports do go on I will try out for 2-3 of the season, and will train three times a week with the team. Also if I am unable togo for a run due to not being able to go outside or not being able to go to the gym, I will do small core workouts, either following youtube videos or ones that I have come up with, doing these workouts also 1-2 times a week to stay fit. This shows my commitment to, and perseverance in sports. And Identify own strengths and develop areas of growth.
My last goal will be for service, if Covid-19 slows us to go back into school and have our local schools visit weekly, I will do the service I did last year in grade ten which was Gecko Inc, where we thought kids how to swim, I plan to improve my skills on teaching the kids how to swim, even with a language barrier. I will teach kids how to swim so that they can use this in their life and it will help in many life situations. it will develop my communication skills and will allow me to grow in so many areas. But if Covid-19 doesn’t allow us to get back to doing that, I will recycle and segregate my trash at home every week so that I can do my part to help the environment. I will do this for the entire school year. This demonstrates engagement with issues of global significance. And recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions. Those are all my CAS goals which I will be doing through my time in the dp program at OSC.
Some excellent, well-thought-out goals here, Anna.
